30: What do you imagine your life like at age fifty?

i Really have no idea. I don’t know that I’ll make it until then.. do any of us?  I try not to have an idealized vision of what the future must be like.. if I decide in my head that only one outcome is acceptable that leaves 99% chance i will be unsatisfied.  I don’t know what my values or philosophies will be down the road.. how they may evolve and grow.  In the vaguest sense I imagine that I am very happy with life, content, no regrets.  I would like to have a family and be so completely happy (despite the ups and downs) that it’s sickeningly sweet. Live by the beach (in between i’ll want to live back home for a while i bet).  But none of what i say I want right now really matters… I feel like my life could take so many directions from this point.. i’m so young in the grand scheme of things, and I don’t plan on getting into a routine where it’s so comfortable I’m not learning. I have absolutely zero idea where I’ll be when i’m fifty (or thirty, for that matter!), and I am so okay with that.  Life is an adventure and I’m just interested in it being a great one, whatever form that may take.

So, i started this 30 day challenge on March 12.. it took me a few extra days.  I’m not the best at following deadlines (outside of work).. they feel too structured for me.  Some days, like today, I try to stay away from the internet purposefully because I need to have a sense of balance and boundaries in my life. Some days I was just too exhausted to try and think about these questions, or anything.  And I firmly believe in giving yourself the space to be in those places and not adhere to some guideline for the sake of it being just a guideline, but to do something because you genuinely want to do it.  or at least that has always been my justification for disliking deadlines and rigid structures.  or lines. Anyway, I’m glad I did it. I wonder what I’ll do next.
